Google Maps is now dropped

Post by ChrisGreaves »

"Google is dropping the old version of Google Maps completely in the very near future. Google quietly announced this in a help forum thread saying the new version will be updated to drop support for the old version of Google Maps."

You are probably wondering how i found this out ... :rofl:

P.S. Please see also https://support.google.com/maps/answer/6166252

P.P.S. When I clock on the link "Try New Google Maps" from here I get a 404 page not found error, right now.

You seem to be losing a lot of things, recently!

Did you try https://maps.google.com or https://maps.google.ca or https://maps.google.co.uk?

They all work for me, particularly the latter - in the UK. You need to sign on to Google, of course...

The error is probably due to you clocking the link. Have you tried clicking the link? :evilgrin:

If your absence does not affect them, your presence didn't matter.

Thanks John.
Weird stuff;
First thing, Classic maps froze on me, so i went off to find New Maps.
New maps kept returning me to classic which froze, so i shrugged and figured tomorrow is another (trial) day.
Then I used you link and got an idea that I might move to the UK.
For one thing it`ll be closer to France and Spain.
For another, I bet the streets aren`t layered several years deep in orange plastic cones as an excuse for not fixing or repairing roads and footpaths.

My new Home Location is near Spur Road, just off the A3214. :rofl:
