Copy favorites
Is there a way to copy my favorites from Internet Explorer 8 on one computer to Internet Explorer 9 on another so that I don’t have to manually add each one?

Re: Copy favorites
Favorites are shortcuts in a folder: C:\Users\<username>\Favorites in Windows Vista/7, and C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Favorites in Windows XP.
You can transfer all files from this folder on the first PC to the corresponding folder on the second PC.

Is there a known problem with IE9's ability to import favorites? Don't think so.HansV wrote:You can transfer all files from this folder on the first PC to the corresponding folder on the second PC.
Why not use the export command?
File > Import And Export > Export to file > Select Favorites > If all, select the root.
The HTML file, Bookmark.htm, can then be used as a backup or transferred to another installation of IE, imported via the same mechanism.
