When I visit this site All CD Covers and find a cover/label I want to save by clicking on the "Download" button for the image, the image is displayed in a new window, which is how it is supposed to work. But when I right-click on the image and choose "Save picture as...", the file type is always .png instead of .jpg which is what it actually is. I do not have the problem at that website using Firefox 4.x.
This is the only site that this anomaly occurs. Everywhere else, right-clicking on an image and choosing "Save picture as..." always has the correct file type; .jpg, .gif, .bmp, .png, etc.
Is this an IE 9 problem which fixable on my end or is the problem with the coding of the site?

Hard to say - the page doesn't let you view its HTML source.
Best wishes,

I also get I suspect that whatever script or process they use to create the large photo does not recognize IE9 properly. Or the site only allows PNG or BMP for IE9. You ought to try a post in either the Software&Hardware or Technical Support forums at All CD Covers forums.
