Visual Basic and Outlook 2003

Post by E_OGRADY »

I am trying to create a Macro from the site
http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/save ... ctures.htm
I have got into a mess and now cannot remove the command to start again, my reasons are that when I move the command to the toolbar it has a drop down arrow, how do I remove the cammand from the following image

With the Customize dialog window open, try dragging the unwanted item off the toolbar.

Otherwise, see Delete a button or menu command - Outlook - Office.com

I have tried both of those without success, the only thing I have found is to delete the e-mail account and recreate, that is such a nightmare I am reluctant to try it as an opening gambit

You can't remove the command indicated by an arrow in your screenshot: it's a built-in command in the File category.
The command that you want on your toolbar should be in the Macros category.

Have you really messed up your toolbar? If so, activate the Toolbars tab of the Customize dialog, select the toolbar and click Reset. When you are prompted to confirm, click Yes.
Best wishes,
Hans

Thank you again HansV and Lief
Fortunately I had not made a real mess but simply by not reading the instructions as per the original document, I was not looking under macros category.
I first posted this somewhere (on this site) when I was looking for the original document, I have found that post and have now posted the full details (see link below).

I have summarised the whole install at this post this forum

My very sincere thanks to all
