I received a note from someone today that said that they used to be able to generate an org chart from the query; however since being upgraded to Microsoft Office 2007 they are getting the message below when they try to generate the org chart off the qry below.
What can I tell them according to the graphic I have attached?

Re: query woes since upgrade to 2007
Most hits in Google for this error message apply to Microsoft Visio with a connection to an IBM DB2 database.
Does the database use local (Access) tables, or tables linked to another database system such as IBM DB2?

They said they are not sure how they would know that...maybe local (Access) tables. I guess little arrows next to their tables would tell them, yes?
When they attempted to create an org chart from a table vs a query it worked. Perhaps they should make a table from the query that reflects the selected information they want? Just saying...any clues.

Without knowing the design of the query it's hard to say, but changing the query to a make-table query, running it and then basing the organization chart on the table is worth a try.

Re: query woes since upgrade to 2007
Hans,
I heard back from this person with the following statement:
When I attempt to create an org chart w/ Visio accessing an Access 2003 query I get this message when I use a computer that has Office 2007 installed.
I have no problem during the exact same thing from my computer that which is still using Office 2003.
Any suggestion to resolve this discrepancy accessing the same items but from Office 2003 vs Office 2007?
Same picture I think that I sent before

I can't find anything about this problem - only about trying to connect to IDM DB2 from Visio, not to Access. Sorry!
Best wishes,
Hans
