Maximum in Totals query

I know in a totals query there is a maximum. How do I do a Maximum effective from date for a Client ID?

Create a query based on your table.
Add the Client ID field and the Effective From date field to the query grid.
Turn on Totals.
Leave the option in the Total row as it is for the Client ID field (Group By), and set it to Max for the Effective From date.
