After working out the MISSING references where the text box showing #Name? i now get the above error when logging in.
Any clues because i have none,i have googled and googled to no avail, although one site offers a download to fix up the registry, i tended to shudder at this as it is a client's server we are talking about here.

NEVER fall into that trap - nothing good can come of it!
Unfortunately, error 2473 ("The expression may not result in the name of a macro, the name of a user-defined function, or [Event Procedure]") is a very general indication that there is something wrong with an event handler, but since you can't view or edit code in a .mde, it's virtually impossible to troubleshoot.
Are you sure it's worth pursuing this? You're bound to run into problem after problem for which there is no satisfactory solution...

I couldn't agree more (I never download those things), i will advise the client we have no such luck until they can find the source.
