Is there a (legal/free) way to obtain the code behind forms in an mde file?
(I did a search of this forum for mde and no results)

Re: Obtaining code from mde file
I tried this http://support.microsoft.com/kb/248261, but it did not get me behind the forms.
Note that now you cannot open the Visual Basic Editor by using the menu, by using the New button, or by pressing ALT+F11.
The following steps demonstrate how to open the Visual Basic Editor in this scenario:
If Access is open, close it.
Open Access without opening a database.
Press ALT+F11 to switch to the Visual Basic Editor.
Press ALT+F11 again to switch to Access
On the File menu, click Open
Open the MDE or ADE database.
Press ALT+TAB until Microsoft Visual Basic - database name is selected, to return to the Visual Basic Editor.

Re: Obtaining code from mde file
No, the source code has been removed, only the compiled (binary) code remains in an .mde. So there is no way to view the source code any more, legal or illegal.
Best wishes,
Hans

Had a feeling that is why there is no info here (or anywhere else !!) regarding that.
Thanks Hans.
