Access 2003 Report field disappears

I have a report that has a field called Currentdate.
When I run the query behind the report, the field has data.
When I put the field in the header of the report, the field is blank.
There is another date in the report called Previousdate and that is showing the right data.
There is nothing (that I can see) that would prevent this field from showing.
It is in the query and it has data. The previousdate field is showing. I can't figure out why the field is blank in the report.

Is PreviousDate in the same header section as CurrentDate?

Hmm - I fear I'd need to see the database. Would it be possible to create a stripped down copy of the database, compact it, then zip it and attach it to a reply? Thanks in advance.
