I notice that almost all buttons are disabled, not only the Indexes (Indici) button.
Is the database in Access 97 format? If so, it will be read-only.
Or a form based on the table is open? If so, the table design would be read-only.

Try the following:
- Press Ctrl+O to display the Open dialog.
- Select the database, but do not click Open.
- Instead, click the dropdown arrow on the right-hand side of the Open button.
- Select 'Open Exclusive' from the dropdown menu.
- Open the table in design view.
Does that solve the problem?
