When I upgraded the OS, I inadvertently used a slightly different user name. When I tried to open an old link to a workbook, of course it doesn't exist where the Db thinks it exists.
How can I link to the correct location without the error FripTranactions"!" is not a valid name using the link table manager?
How to link to new location?

Re: How to link to new location?
If your database opens a form automatically, hold down the Shift key while opening the database. This should bypass the startup options unless you have explicitly disabled that.
Now click 'Linked Table Manager' on the Database Tools tab of the ribbon.
Tick the check box 'Always prompt for new location'.
Click 'Select All', then click OK.
You can now specify a new location for the linked file.

A switchboard manger form is all that opens, and I still get a not valid path, which does not exist since the documents is in a slightly different user name.HansV wrote:If your database opens a form automatically, hold down the Shift key while opening the database. Re: How to link to new location?
If you click OK, do you get the option to select a new path?
If not, close the dialog and delete the linked table from the navigation pane on the left hand side.
Then create a new link from scratch.
