Split Form View

Hello guys, I have a problem with split form view

In the datasheet view, I can see all the records and when I select a record from there, the details are displayed in the form. My problem is, when I select a field from the form, the datasheet view also navigates to that field in datasheet view. In datasheet view I don't want to navigate to anywhere and freeze it only showing the customer ID & name, even if I select any other field from the form.
And is it possible to display some fields in the datasheet view & all the fields in the form. I hope you guys understand what my problem is.

This is just a shot in the dark as I am not really very familiar with Access.
Have you tried hiding the additional fields in your datasheet view? Hide all except the ID and Name fields. Hopefully when you click in a field like Business Name, it will not be able to navigate to Business name in the datasheet as it is hidden?
