A Db I wrote about 10 years ago for a charity needs a few updates, but I can't open the database window.
Menu Tools | Startup has 'Display Database window' checked; and 'Use Access Special Keys' checked. I have a function that runs at startup, but there is nothing in that that would cause the Db window to be unavailable. There might be a macro that runs on startup, but of course I can't get to it because I can't open the Db window.
F11 does nothing.
What can I do?

Re: Database window won't open
You can suppress startup macros and code by holding down the Shift key while opening the database.
Have you tried Window | Cascade?
You can also try the following:
- Press F11 to activate the database window (even though it's not visible).
- Press Alt+- (hyphen) to activate the windows system menu.
- Press x to activate the Maximize command.

Re: Database window won't open
Thanks Hans
- Press F11 to activate the database window (even though it's not visible).
All I had to do was scroll the Access window up and there was the Db window, where it had been there all the time.
I don't believe I can be that dumb and still breathe.

None of that worked. What I had to do was give myself a slap over the head!- Press Alt+- (hyphen) to activate the windows system menu.
- Press x to activate the Maximize command.

Don't feel bad, Peter. I've done the same thing many times over the years.

If Her Majesty can do it too, then I definitely don't feel so bad. <gr>
