Import errors

I have a rather bizarre question. I imported some records into a Db and determined that some of the records were incorrect in the spreadsheet, so I deleted all of the imported records. After fixing the spreadsheet, I reimported the data. I looked over the records and found several duplicates that aren't in the spreadsheet. Do I have to repair and compact the Db after the deletion operation?

I cannot explain that, but it never hurts to compact and repair your database.
