Paste Special

Post by BobH »

Why do I get this window when I have chosen Paste Special?
Excel Paste Special.PNG
I want the window that allows me to choose Values. What can I do when this window appears to conjure up the one I want?

TIA
 :chocciebar: :thankyou:

This dialog appears when the clipboard contains data from another application than the current instance of Excel.
Since the Source is an Excel object, the most probable explanation is that you opened DailyData(37).csv in a different instance of Excel than the current workbook.
If both workbooks are open in the same instance of Excel.you should get the 'regular' Paste Special dialog.
Best wishes,
Hans

Click the arrow in the lower right corner of the Clipboard group on the Home tab of the ribbon.
Click the drop-down arrow on the right hand side of the clipboard item, and select Delete from the drop-down menu.
Or click Clear All to remove all clipboard items.
