Bulk replace quotes with 'smart quotes'
I can tell Word to replace plain quotation marks with "smart quotes." However, I have a document that was built by cutting or copying and pasting, and it's loaded with plain quotes. What do I tell the Find & Replace dialog to replace the punctuation in bulk? Or will this be a job for VBA?

If you ask it to replace ' with ' (yes, both the same!) the AutoCorrect feature should change any ' to ‘ or ’, as appropriate...
If you're a bit wary, Save the document immediately before trying the Replace function.

Wow...that's a lot easier than I'd expected! Thanks, John!

As with probably almost everything I know about Word, I originally got it from Hans!
