View Zoom intermittent functioning? Word 2003

Post by ChrisGreaves »

(sample document attched)
Word 2003, no global addin templates, out-of-the-box Normal.dot.
To the best of my knowledge nothing, not even a macro, lurking in the wings.

If I choose a zoom factor (e.g. 167%) from the Standard toolbar, I get the zoom factor I ask for.
If I choose the zoom factor from the View, Zoom dialog box, Word sulks and changes nothing.
If I choose a preset zoom factor radio button from the View, Zoom dialog box, Word sulks and changes nothing.

Please and Thank You, has any one got any clues?
Actually, the first question ought to be Can anyone duplicate this problem on their Office 2003 system?

I'll test in Word 2003 tomorrow. In Word 2007, the dialog box works correctly, both with the preset values and with a custom percentage.
Best wishes,
Hans

I have tested your document in Word 2003 SP3. The dialog box works correctly there too with preset values and with a custom percentage...
Best wishes,
Hans

Darn! It must be my installation, again.
Thanks Hans for giving it whirl.
