Show/Hide formatting
When I click Show/Hide formatting, some of my text is preceded by a paragraph mark and other text is preceded by a small square. What does the small square mean and is there a code to search for it in the Find/Replace dialogue?
Regards,
JMT

Re: Show/Hide formatting
Can you post a screen shot of what you are asking about?
I think you have the NON printing characters showing.

Re: Show/Hide formatting
A black square in the left margin means that one of the following paragraph settings has been applied:
- Keep Lines Together
- Keep With Next
- Page Break Before
- Suppress Line Numbers
See WD: Purpose of Square Bullets Displayed in Left Margin.
