hi paul, how average for adjacent column?
with your formula the all result are same. should not like that.

Clearly, you have to adjust the column references...

hi paul,..i am sill confuse how to set for another column cause the same lines (lines 40 & 47) but different column as target.

For example:
{=AVERAGE(C40,D47)}
...
{=AVERAGE(E40,F47)}
...
{=AVERAGE(G40,H47)}
...
{=AVERAGE(I40,J47)}

Word is not like Excel - you can't simply copy the formula from one column to the next and have the cell references update - the cell references all have to be individually typed.
