Today I used Adobe Acrobat Professional to convert a PDF file to a Microsoft Word document. In general, the results look good. However, every so often I find a word that's split by an odd little character (¬). (Example: physi¬cal.) I thought I could use Ctrl + H (find and replace) to locate every instance of ¬ and replace it with nothing.
The result: Word could not find any instances of this character. I'm stuck with fixing these characters as I find them. Any suggestions? Any idea why these things get into a converted document in the first place?

Re: Cannot find Alt symbol
This is probably the optional hyphen character. You can search for it by entering ^- in the Find what box.
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.
Best wishes,
