I have the latest and greatest MS Office (I think) but cannot find the "About" option that normally tells one the version number of a product. In fact, the traditional File Menu line is missing from the display.
Questions:
1) Is there an equivalent to "About" and where do I find it?
2) Can I get my Menu bar back?
Version Number?

Re: Version Number?
1) Select File > Account.
2) Yes, using third-party add-ins. But I recommend getting used to the ribbon. Microsoft uses it in other applications too, and other software developers are increasingly adopting it.
If you want to display a traditional menu bar, see UBitMenu for Office 2007, 2010, 2013 and 2016 Shortcuts (free for personal use) or Classic Menu for Office (32-bit and 64-bit) (commercial).

Re: Version Number?
Thanks, Hans!!!
I found the page. I have Office 2016. It shows a version number (16.0.6868.2060) under Office Updates. Does this number change after each update?
I had already decided that I should adjust to changing times.

Re: Version Number?
The 16.0 part is the internal version number of Office 2016. This will only change when the next version, say Office 2019, is released. The .6868 part changes at major updates, and the .2060 part at minor updates (as you can see, I'm at .2062, after a small update yesterday).
Best wishes,
Hans
