I created a custom context menu item using the method described at How-To Geek. The problem is that while the item shows up if I have 15 or less items selected in explorer, if I have more, the menu item disappears! How can I get a context menu item working for any number of selected files? Thanks.

Found it - Microsoft playing tricks to "protect" Windows 7 users - but they do allow a change to the registry to restore the old XP functionality.

Re: Context Menu Problem
So you want to open more than 15 files in Notepad simultaneously? Oh well...
I have simply dragged Notepad to the Send To folder. Send To is always available in the context menu.

That is one of the first things I do when I configure a new PC.HansV wrote:...I have simply dragged Notepad to the Send To folder. Send To is always available in the context menu.

No, I'm not interested in notepad. I made my own context menu item and needed it to be able to handle any number of files.HansV wrote:So you want to open more than 15 files in Notepad simultaneously? Oh well...
