What are MCReferenceSdk & MCTranscodingSDK

Post by RonH »

I have these empty files in 'Users' dated 2013.
Can they be deleted ... can't work out how they got initiated, don't play Minecraft or other games.

Both names appear to be associated with the MainConcept Transcoding SDK. a development library for transcoding audio and video. I'd either leave them alone, or move them to the Recycle Bin and leave them there for some time and see if everything still works properly.
Best wishes,
Hans

Thanks Hans ... I looked at the same site and concluded 'why me!' Perhaps in my distant past, one of the audio or video editing programmes that I looked at loaded these.
I think I will just leave alone since I am not aware that they are causing any pc problems.

I usually RENAME the doubtful file or folder with a #prefix ( used that long before it became popular in that "Social Media" place ) That way if something complains, I just Rename it back by removing the #. If after a while, no moans and groans occur, I then delete it.
