Any ideas?
The listing that I have on my WLM 12 is not an accurate list of what I have installed in Library/Music/All Music. I have removed and reinstalled this programme, tried Tools/Advanced/Restore Media Library and searched everywhere to try to delete this listing and start over. In fact I do not recall installing much of what is listed.
How can I create a list of what is really stored in my Music file?

Re: Library List Incorrect in WLM 12
I don't use it, but I think WMP is using the library created by Windows.
One solution, that is mentioned quite often (and is in line with general practice, i.e. disable a service, remove something, enable service), to invoke a new scan is stop the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service (obviously WMP should be closed); then delete the wmdb files in %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Media Player; and finally start the Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service again. It may take some time, but you should see the library rebuilt after a while in WMP.

Thanks for taking time out. As of now I am inclined to make VLC on my pc the preferred player

Re: Library List Incorrect in WLM 12
Just to update.
I decided to delete all files in the WMP Folder as per Hans link. Presently WMP is refilling its Library and now at least the Music appears correct. As for the 1000's of Pictures and the many Videos I have produced, only time will tell
But I have been relearning VLC Media Player and I will make it the default.
