If a person wants a folder on their taskbar that will take them directly to, for example, C:\Users\Username on the left pane with all the folders in Username on the right....how would you do that? I tried navigating there and creating a shortcut on my desktop but when I open the shortcut I get all my user folders on the right and C: on the left. What I want is all my user folders on the left and right so I can drag/drop between them. Actually I don't want to do this. My sister just got Win7 and wants things "the way they were". BTW, if I can get this to work on a desktop shortcut or in old-style Quick Launch that would be fine.
Thanks

Re: Windows Explorer XP/Vista Style?
This is not a property of the shortcut, but a general setting:
- Open any Windows Explorer window.
- Select Organize | Folder and Search Options...
- Instead of the previous two steps, you can also select Start | Control Panel and open Folder Options.
- Tick the check box "Automatically expand to current folder".
- Click OK.
