File delete

Post by RonH »

Is this a common problem? Is there a solution?
This occurs in the video/pictures files ... Rt Click on video thumbnail then click Delete. File is deleted but thumbnail still shows until I close the file and reopen.

This happens occasionally in Windows 7 Home (Premium); I haven't seen it in the Enterprise version of Windows 7.
Pressing F5 to refresh the view is usually sufficient to make the icon disappear.
Best wishes,
Hans

I suspect it might be a a delay in updating the thumbnail cache after you have deleted the file, possibly due to corruption of the DB.
You could clean out the cache manually, (or easier, run CCleaner) to do it as part of a larger system cleansing. All in all... its nothing to "worry" about.

Thanks gentlemen.
Deleting all the Thumbnails didn't solve so its either the F5 or just put up with it :groan:
Yes I realise that its not anything to be concerned about but when one is cleaning out large files it can be a irritation
But its nice to know that I am not the only one :hairout: I love sharing!
