I remember Eileen from the early days of Woody's Lounge. She also had a cute little dragon she used before the witch, didn't she?

Her company was called Amdragon, with a friendly dragon as logo:

Re: Eileen's Portal
Hans, Eileens Lounge looks great, and I like the honoring of Eileen! She was very active when I first started. I wondered where you went since I hadn't seen you in the Windows Secrets area. However, I haven't been very active anywhere lately. I've noticed a number of posters in this thread have posted a lot of messages. Is that just since early February? I didn't try my old Woody's Lounge login to see if it still works here.

Eileen's lounge was set up by some of the admins who were previously involved with Woody's Lounge, but it is a completely separate entity.

Hi Bill,
Welcome to Eileen's Lounge! We went "live" two months ago today, on January 24, 2010. Although this is still a small board, it's very lively, so some members have already run up a sizable number of posts.
We started from scratch, usernames/passwords from Woody's Lounge / Windows secrets Lounge don't work here. You did right to register a new user.
I hope you'll enjoy it here!

And I have not been counting, but mine are not rising as fast as they did in Woody's (BWS).

Re: Eileen's Portal
It all looks great. Thank you.
Just wondering... could their be a subset of "View your posts" which was "View your posts with active responses" or similar? So that I knew to look at my posts? Or even to have an indicator on "My Posts" which indicated that there were unread responses?
If it's not possible, not a worry. Nor a priority.

Re: Eileen's Portal
If you go to 'View your posts', the little icon to the right of the username in the Last Post column indicates whether there are unread posts in the thread. In the screenshot below, they're all white, but an orange icon means unread posts, and clicking it will take you to the first unread post.

Yes, I know that. That's fairly obvious.HansV wrote:If you go to 'View your posts', the little icon to the right of the username in the Last Post column indicates whether there are unread posts in the thread.
What I was after was saving one click- being able to know, when viewing the portal, that I had any of my threads with unread posts.
Not a big one, but potentially useful.

Re: Eileen's Portal (GoTo: Post Number)
Sorry... I just want to squeeze in another question here, since this thread is on the topic of changes to the lounge.
In the old WOPR, there was a way to go to a post number. A little text box where one could type a post number and go to. Is there a chance that this new forum software can incorporate that. I am still in the habit of making note of post numbers to quickly get to specific threads that I reference often. I have been using the search features, but as I am aware of the post number, it would be great to be able to go directly to that post. Even if it could be added to the search feature to allow searching for a post number...giving quick access to that post.
Any ideas if this is possible??
TX

Re: Eileen's Portal
You'll see the post number above your user picture:
You can select the text Post=... and copy it (Ctrl+C).
Use it like this in a post:
[Post=...]description[/post]
See: Tutorial: BBCodes.

Sorry Hans, you misunderstood me...HansV wrote:You'll see the post number above your user picture:

I am aware of inserting a post number into a post so others can navigate to it as a hyperlink. What I was asking is that if I have a post number, as in Post No. 12345, then I could go to the search feature (or, as in the WOPR site, go to a text box where I could type in 12345) and click GO. Then it would take me straight to that post.
Hope this is a clearer explanation of my request. TX

Rudi

You can use the following as a bookmarklet.
Create a bookmark and set the Location as:
Click on the bookmark and enter the post number then click okay
I'd like to give credit where credit is due, but I forgot who had posted the code over at Woody's.
