I would like to have a new tab open when I click a link.
How do we get this?

Re: New tab when clicking a link
Hi Dave,
We modified the styles in the previous forum to do that, but we'd rather do all that again (it's more difficult in the new version).
To open a link in a Lounge post in a new tab, click the link with the middle mouse button, or hold down Ctrl (Cmd on a Mac) while left-clicking the link.

Re: New tab when clicking a link
In Firefox Options, under the main General heading, in the Tabs section, there are tick boxes for
''Open links in tabs instead of new windows'
"When you open a link in a new tab, switch to it immediately".
I presume other browsers have similar options. Do they not do what you want?
Alternatively, if you click the mouse wheel or hold Crtl as you click, a link will open in a new tab. Is that any better?

Or use right-click option for in new tab.
The only links that open in a new tab, as far as I know, are internal when using the Post tag.
Remember that there was some discussion about that, so must have been some manual tweak by Admins.

Re: New tab when clicking a link
Yes, the [post=...] tag is a custom BBcode that we created ourselves, so we could control the behaviour of the link.
Best wishes,
Hans

Thanks to all of you for your input.
All web sites open a new tab except for here as I have the setting in Edge and IE to do such.
