New "Old" Members
Is it permissable to notify some of the "old" Lounge Members of this site, or is there some sort of protocol already in place for "spreading the word"?

Yeah, I know that we can communicate via e-mail (at least with those whose addresses we have). I was enquiring more about sending PM's to Windows Secrets Lounge members.John Gray wrote:Err, how do you think us chickens got to find out about it?!

Re: New "Old" Members
I suspect that the Admins have thought of that one, and one will be along in a minute to elucidate.
Probably some degree of circumspection will be required in a potentially sensitive situation, and, after all, there isn't a desperate rush to build up numbers. A gradual transition would probably be good from the server-loading viewpoint, anyway.
PS where is Ontaio?! Somewhere where people Greeve?!

Re: New "Old" Members
I think staying away from recruiting is a good idea... I got an email from Al about this, and wasted no time. I'm not a frequent visitor these days but I do prefer the familiarity of the community I loved as opposed to seeing gobs of new names every day. It got kind of surreal there. So that said, I'm going to venture forth with "if you aren't in contact with someone already, don't bother chasing them down." Let's face it, there have been a few personalities in the past that none of us would relish seeing again! (Although I do sometimes miss CowboyDawg)

Now you've done it! Suddenly some nefarious Lounging Person will register under the names CowboyDawg and I-Eat-Lost-Cats, and, probably, Chris Grieves!

That's exactly why you will notice a user called Eileen, we didn't want anyone else to take this one.John Gray wrote:...

I'm Overjoyed! Estatic!
I just got home and saw the "little notice" email and rushed to register and log on.
Just been browsing around to check things out and see how to customize myself.
( profile )
The BEST thing I've seen so far is the list of member names of people who have become so familiar over the years. I'm buying for all, just have to figure out how to accomplish that.
I know that I join all in saying THANK YOU to everyone who has been working behind the scenes to bring our "old' Lounge back. CONGRATULATIONS!
BTW, can we selectively notify members of "quality" of this news?

As I remember, not being in trouble would have been a big disappointment to him. Let's hope he's in just as much trouble as he enjoysSkitterbug wrote: ....and I hope he is doing okay and not in any trouble - wherever he is.
